Finally finished this funky face (yes - more vintage 'blinking' dolls eye!). Was waiting for a lips mould to mix the resin in. I know I could have made one myself - I even have the cool dental moulding stuff sitting in my cupboard......

Just to let you know that I have reduced the price on a selection of my 'big' handmade art jewelry pieces.
They would make fabulous Christmas presents.....for yourself or someone special!
I have put them in a seperate category on my Homepage - on the LHS, called "Pre-Xmas Sale"
As these pieces sell - I will be reducing others to fill the space.....so please keep checking back.
love, vicky

Got some vintage typewriter keys (on Etsy I think it was...or Ebay) - going to make some usual jewellery pieces probably set in coloured resins with sterling silver rivets - like this one I made earlier...... The irregular white resin bead I purchased Fair Trade - they are from a village in Indonesia.
The spikey pink/blue rubber beads make me want to go off clubbing......

I am making some really unique sterling silver & colourful resin jewellery featuring vintage 'blinking' dolls eyes that I found on Ebay. I love Ebay.....
This is a picture of one of my rings - but I am also making pendants and taking commissions......
Just made some really cool, one-of-a-kind handmade art jewelry pieces using Water Buffalo horn (natural & undyed & bought Fair Trade from Indonesia) as one of the components.
This one features a Rooster Tail Agate gemstone with wrapped sterling silver wire. One-of-a-kind.
I'm the cephalopod loving redhead behind Ginga Squid studio. In previous lives I've been an engineer, accountant, scuba instructor and most recently - a mum to 2 gorgeous little kiddies (well they are most of the time)!
I love creating things - it keeps me sane. I particularly love sourcing interesting, unusual and rare natural gemstones and fossils (its my equivalent of a shoe addiction).
I also love colour - bring it on!
I like to use beads in my work that I can buy Fair Trade from developing countries, so helping the craftspeople directly.
