....and more Arm Warmers with Sewn-On Beaded Jewelry
I'm on a roll with these long knitted arm warmers! Its something I can do while watching TV in the evenings, waiting while the kiddies play at the jungle gym etc, etc. Saves me eating quite so many chocolate biscuits.
The colours don't necessarily 'go' together, but thats kind of the point. These both have cute little flower rings (my daughter's idea).
Neon Grapefruit (above) is my favourite so far - because the wool I handspun went so bobbly!
oh wow, how fun are these?!! i never know what i'm going to find you doing when i come here to visit - and i'm always in for such a terrific surprise! :-)
Thank you! I just went and checked out Boing Boing - and there were some very funny comments! Apparently people either hate these or love them - like marmite....
I'm the cephalopod loving redhead behind Ginga Squid studio. In previous lives I've been an engineer, accountant, scuba instructor and most recently - a mum to 2 gorgeous little kiddies (well they are most of the time)!
I love creating things - it keeps me sane. I particularly love sourcing interesting, unusual and rare natural gemstones and fossils (its my equivalent of a shoe addiction).
I also love colour - bring it on!
I like to use beads in my work that I can buy Fair Trade from developing countries, so helping the craftspeople directly.
My website is http://www.GingaSquid.com

Thanks Stevie B! I had to stop myself from giving them the S3 treatment with a can of Gloss spray.
I love the flower ring on the gloves. These arm warmers area lot of fun.
If you ignore the commas, the tag reads "fluffy grapefruit," which sums up the excellent charm of these arm warmers.
So beautiful. I think I have to stop at blogs for the morning as yours is the second post I find very inspiring and I'm on overload...but thank you.
Thank you girls! And I hope the weather is now warming up in your neck of the woods (the Northern hemisphere)?

Thanks so much Bandofspirit - I'm trying to find where your blog is?
Looks like something Bjork would wear on stage! Absolutely brilliant, and you should do them for men and women (men like a bit of colour too!).
Do you have an Etsy site or anything?
Thanks Graimito! I have done a couple for men - one with skull beads, but I should do some more!
I love Bjork - maybe she could wear some with that swan outfit she has?
I have a website at http://www.GingaSquid.com (and an Etsy & ArtFire store - but I only list certain things on those - shop name is GingaSquid).
